Ice Cream Social at LDC!

Please join us for our Ice Cream Social and Ballroom Dance on Friday, July 3rd, 8 -11pm. The cost is $12, reservations required.

The next LDC Open House will be held Sunday, July 12th, 4:30 - 7pm. Include will be free beginner classes. The class will include rumba, foxtrot, waltz, swing, salsa, and nightclub 2-step.

New 6-week sessions of BEGINNERS GROUP CLASSES will start the week of July 13. Each 6-class session is $60 per person. Advance registration required by phone or email, or 1/2 hour prior to the first class. New students will be admitted to a class during the 1st 2 weeks only. See schedule below:

Monday: 7:00pm Foxtrot and Waltz, 7:45pm Rumba & Chacha
Tuesday: 7:00pm East Coast Swing
Wednesday: 6:00pm Hustle, 7:00pm Salsa
Thursday: 6:15pm West Coast Swing, 7:45pm Hustle,
7:45 pm Nightclub 2-step
Friday: 7:00 pm Social Dancing - 1 smooth dance, 1 rhythm dance

Burning up the floor at Millennium Dancesport!

Congratulations to Rachel Neison, Randi Green, Mina Chao, Katherine Chen, and Susan Bienelhousen for representing LDC at this year's Millennium Dancesport competition in St. Petersburg, Florida. All made the finals and placed 1st, 2nd, and/or 3rd in their respective categories.

Lucinda Piston (Alfredo's Dance Studio, Toledo, OH), dancing with Minas Katsantouris, placed second in the Open Rhythm Scholarship and third in the Open Latin Scholarship.

Minas would like to thank all of his students for their efforts and congratulate them on a great competition.

Summer Serenade at KSU

The Ohio Chapter of USA Dance will be hosting the Summer Serenade Dinner Dance at Kent State University on July, 26, 2009. Dancing will begin at 3pm and dinner at 5pm. Member tickets are $40, non-member tickets are $45, and student tickets are $25.00. The floor show will feature Professional Latin dancers Jean Paulovich and Iryna Pinihina. LDC will have reserved table at the dance, however, you must purchase tickets through USA Dance at: http://usadanceohio.org/forms/SummerSerenade09.pdf The deadline for ticket purchase is Sunday, July 19, 2009.
